Just a funny story really.
Spent several hours over a couple of days trying to figure out why a Thiokol 3700 w AC engine wouldn't run. We figured it was a fuel supply issue but after we replaced the plunger on the hand primer and went through all the steps to get air out of the fuel system the situation was unchanged. Talked it over with the nice folks on the Allis Chalmers forum, most thought we should replace the hand primer with an electric fuel pump.
Since we weren't making much progress we went back to the basics and took apart the air intake tubing down to the turbo and found....a shop rag stuffed way down in there right next to the turbo. Runs like a champ now.
