What is the euro dollar.. and why is it in turmoil? For dummies like me.. A simple little story explains it best.
Below is a comment from an article titled:
Whatever Germany does, the euro as we know it is dead
And this makes PERFECT sense to me.
Quote:
"Here's a little bedtime story for all you Euros. You and some colleagues work for a large corporation. About 10 of you go out for a business dinner one evening. You hate these events, but go along. The prospect of over-eating doesn't appeal to you, so you order a simple salad and coffee. Some of the others have drinks, appetizers, wine, fillet mignons, desserts, digestifs and cigars. Naturally, when the bill comes, it is inevitably one of the big eaters who suggests, "Why don't we just split this 10 ways?". What's wrong with this little scenario? If you don't understand, you never will."
