The east coast tucker contingent, scouts, and sympathizers banded together to save one from Canada Eh! It was a real celebrity relay race for life.

700 mile single day turn and burn. Little discussion with US customs and welcome back to your home land.

69 442A with “experimental ice track” according to the build sheet. Lots of other goodies followed.

Many hands made light(er) work.

After '68 the "experimental' track must have become pretty common on the east coast. I have a two of those tracks, but they don't have the center cleats. Mine were moved to the outside contact points. Not sure if it was factory, or done later. Interestingly, my standard tracks have similar mountain repairs/upgrades. One has that style cleat welded to the outside of the grousers for ice grip, while the other set has triangle wedges welded to the contact edge to bring back the factory shape. Not sure if that was something you could buy from the factory (like the sprocket tooth repair) or if it was done in house, but there was a shit-ton of welding time put into doing them.
