I have been playing with the idea of converting my 200 ford industrial to a cummins 4btaa 130 hp with an allison 545 4spd automatic,has anyone done any diesel conversions?

59muskeg, I've had this thought as well....or even a 6bt for a larger cat. :mellow: A 4bt would be a great replacement for a 200 .Do you have the engine and trans?? Brian @ timberkats.com has a few sprytes that have been converted to cummins.

I am a Sno trak coveter.. I don't own one yet but have my eye on 2 here in Utah.
I am a Land Cruiser guy though.. and my good friend Andre Shoumatoff started the Cummins 4bta conversion site.
Great site with lots of good info.
The 4bts are a great motor.... maybe you should start here and ask around .
Usually there are a few 4bts for sale as well.

DON'T get a snot trac! Foreign rubbish! Since you're in Utah, you should check out Petersen Equipment for a real snowcat, like a Thiokol Imp or Spryte. Yes, yes, not as fancy as a Kristi, but a nice start none the less. :rolleyes:
