Jets and Bills Remain in the Locker Room During Anthem
by DYLAN GWINN13 Sep 2020

The Miami Dolphins elected to remain in their locker room during the playing of the national anthem. And, as it turns out, they weren’t the only AFC East team to no-show the playing of our nation’s song.

The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills also elected to remain indoors

Neither the Jets nor the Bills were out on the field for the national anthem.

The decision of the two New York teams to no-show the anthem is not surprising, though it is definitely extra disappointing given the fact that New York just finished commemorating the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Nineteen years ago, the Bills, Jets, and the rest of the league, went to great lengths to honor the flag and the police, firemen, and first responders who raced into danger to save people on that day. It would have been very hard indeed to explain to anyone 19 years ago, that two days after the 19th anniversary, two teams from the state most impacted by those attacks would choose to remain in their locker rooms for the anthem.

It won't take eventually. Sports ability is relative. In a week there would be people taking their place. In two weeks no one would notice the difference. And in that same 2 weeks these losers would be kneeling in back alleys for 20 bucks rather than on the field for 20 million.

If the owners wont' fine or fire them for these types of antics I do not see anything changing. My hope is that enough are fed up with their unAmerican behavior so that income goes down and all players, coaches, and owners are forced to take a significant pay cut.

I just won't watch. Period.

Sadly my actins will have no impact on the Neilson numbers. I haven't watched professional children's sports since the first time the baseball players went on strike decades ago.

I've pretty much given up on professional sports. I don't watch baseball or the NBA any more. It's only week 1 but I didn't watch any NFL games and that's tough for me because I used to be a 5 games a week guy. I did scoot through the Cowboys game last night just to check on the score but I didn't linger or watch. So far I have had no withdrawal symptoms. This could be easier than I thought.

Yep! those big burley tough guys don't want to show their viewers they can actually take a stand for anything. Hiding in the locker room. What bravery:bolt:

No football for me anymore either.
I've switched to Formula 1 racing. Watched a mini-series on either Netflix or Amazon about Formula 1 about a month ago. It gave me a good understanding of the sport and it's current teams and drivers.

A little something I read this morning

September 14, 2020 dan
Three years ago, I had to spent about five days in a VA hospital for a pretty serious infection and once I started feeling better, they told me to walk around the hospital as much as possible.

During one of my little walks through the halls, I went past a lot of other patient rooms. One of these walks was on a Sunday when football would have been on.

There was the funniest thing happening, there wasn’t one television on the whole patient floor that was showing an NFL game. It was one of those things that if the NFL had realized what they were doing three years ago, they would have been able to stop this madness.
The only takeaway from last week’s pre-game dueling anthems prior to the Baltimore Ravens-Cleveland Browns game is that the players are ignorant but useful tools or they’re knowingly lying to themselves and us about the devastation that comes when M@rxism takes root in a country.
While all but two Baltimore Ravens players stood during the ‘black national anthem,’ most either took a knee or sat down as the American national anthem was played.

While the NFL and its players are celebrating Black Lives Matter they have either failed to even visit the BLM website to learn what they were supportive of or, they are in agreement with the radical Marxist’s agenda.
According to their website, BLM calls for, in my view, the immediate imposition of Marxism, criticizes the paternally-led family, and rejection of the ‘white fault’ of striving to be the best you can be.
(USA Today) In a New York Times tribute headlined, “Happy Birthday, Karl Marx. You Were Right!” philosophy professor Jason Barker declared that “educated liberal opinion is today more or less unanimous in its agreement (with) Marx’s basic thesis” on the flaws of capitalism. But this is true only if “educated liberal opinion” simply does not care about tyranny.

But Marxism in practice didn’t work out so well. Communist regimes produced the greatest ideological carnage in human history, killing more than a hundred million people in the last century. While some apologists claim it is unfair to Marx to blame him, the seeds of tyranny were there from the start.

Already, we have witnessed the the leftist fascists targeting police officers for death. Likewise, the killing of Trump supporters for having a different political viewpoint.
The current crop of leftist anarchists calling for a socialist economic system, on one hand decry the power of the state and its cozy relationship with multinational corporations, and on the other are clamoring for turning all future political power over to the government.

New Orleans Saints Pledge ‘Not To Stick To Sports’ This Season In Social Justice Campaign

The New Orleans Saints is dedicating its season to highlighting “oppression” of black women in its latest social justice initiative.
The Saints rolled out the campaign on Friday ahead of the first weekend of the NFL football season with a video of Saints players sitting down and committing their “platform” to “raise awareness about the current state of black women in America.” The video mentions the case of Breonna Taylor, a black 26-year-old woman killed by police in March.

The video shows eight saints players – left tackle Terron Armstead, quarterback Drew Brees, linebacker Demario Davis, safety Malcolm Jenkins, defensive end Cameron Jordan, running back Alvin Kamara, punter Thomas Morstead, and linebacker Craig Robertson – alternating and reading through parts of a script explaining the initiative.
Transcript:

We care about the issues that plague our community, and in light of all of the things that we see going on in our country, we as Saints want to utilize our platform this season for meaningful change, not to distract from issues. Not to stick to sports, but to work together as teammates for meaningful change. Our goal is to raise awareness about the current state of black women in America.
When it comes to broader conversation of social justice, black women are usually left out. As is evidence in the case of Breonna Taylor … we are failing to acknowledge the intersecting impacts of racism and sexism of black women. As men we feel it is time to evaluate our spaces, do our part, and use our platform to uplift the stories of our most disenfranchised. By uplifting our leaders, the left out, and the overlooked. We can bring about solutions that elicit systemic change both in New Orleans and around the country and ultimately make a safer, more equitable America.
We invite you to take a journey with us this season. Take a journey with us to help us ensure that all people are treated equally and fairly, to have and live full complete lives … for future generations to come. Because we are the Saints … and it’s time we say her name.

THE BAD NEWS,,,;THIS POLITICALIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS IS INEVITABLE AND UBIQUITEOS THROUGHOUT ALL OF THEM

Somebody should remind these asshats that people tune in, not to be lectured on political moralities, but to see a football game.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE NFL SEASON HAS BEEN SHORTENED.
