This cat is in good condition with just over 4000 hrs. 3208 cat engine with turbo. Tracks and grousers are in good condition, 10 way blade and rear tiller bar. rear tiller hydraulic hoses have been removed. Runs great and all hydraulics work as they should. some front hoses worn. 2 road wheels need to be replaced and have one new spare, rear sprockets in good condition as are drive motors and transmissions. Will supply more pics for serious buyers. Asking 10,000.00 and will de-track and deliver within 100 miles of Truckee location, will consider same service if further for agreed upon price.

This cat is 13'9" wide and yes you can remove the 2 outer bands and leave just the 8" wide drive bands which would make it trailer legal, however remember if you do that you will have a deeper footprint in soft snow. I have thought about making it trailer legal myself and probably will this summer if I do not sell it, although removing the tracks isn't all to bad its still a job every time I want to move it. The job I used it on is finished which is why it is for sale.
I wouldn't suggest removing just the outer 2 belts, if you were to leave the inner 2 belts on your track will tip in, due to the weight of the tracks, and you will have a nightmare keeping the tracks on as well as they will be wearing thru the side of the body. I saw one that they did this on and they soon found a different set of tracks for it.
Yes, true. Thank you for pointing out the obvious, and your recommendation. I also have done this before with no problems when track tension was kept correctly. To do it correctly you would have to add another 8" belt strip so as to center the load. Doing away with the Asymmetrical track.Any other hobby people have input.
