I've had a magellan roadmate GPS for about 5 years now. Lately it's been acting up by refusing to turn on and once I do get it going it dies a few minutes later. Other times it works fine. However. Right from day 1 it's been slow to input the address and destination. So I decided a couple weeks ago to replace it. I found a garmin nuvi 205 on ebay which I picked up for under $15. I got it today. At first site the unit is a tiny thing that fits in the palm of my hand. It looks to be about half the size of the magellan. I updated it with the latest maps and tried it. I'm very happy with it so far. It's fast and smooth. For a basic GPS I recommend it.
