I guess any type of rollcage would have just added unnecessary weight. Much less a seatbelt. An awesome machine though.

Cool machine. Looks like a lot of fun.

A guy here in Madison collects hotrods. He's got a 1930-something "track roadster", which apparently hit like 213 mph, if I recall the details correctly, similarly without seat belts.

It was a different age back then...

I found a picture of the operator after the 100+ Mph run. Probably a huge smile under the ice though.
