....dramatically. According to my research today I discovered the following:

At 11:00AM this morning the confirmed cases of CV19 in the US stood at 9,521 with 159 deaths. 1.67% death rate.

At 6:29PM this evening, the latest update, the confirmed cases of CV19 in the US stands at 13,523, due to increased testing with 187 deaths. 1.38% death rate.

Stay tuned.

While it seems like a nice thing, I don't think it's an accurate guage. All the new positive tests are just that > new. It takes several days for the illness to get serious if it's going to.

If you want to guess about that stuff, you would be slightly more accurate comparing todays deaths to new cases from 6 days ago.

I'm no Epidemiologist. I am not guessing. I am simply comparing numbers over the course of the day. Numbers furnished by the CDC to everyone with an internet connection. That's it.

That is all I was trying to point out as a layman.

Agreed, but wouldn't the "confirmed cases of CV19 in the US stood at 9,521 with 159 deaths. 1.67% death rate" also be incorrect?.

the 1.67 should be slightly higher.

Fox News just reported that China is saying the death rate is a lower percentage than originally reported in the epicenter where the corona virus started. First reported a 6% death rate they are now saying it is 1.6%. Hope they are telling the truth.
