Fire!

We were already in a province wide fire ban for a few weeks because of covid 19. But even without the virus, we would most likely be in a restricted fire zone as it's so dry. Just an hour ago the main highway going west was closed due to a forest fire only about a 40 minute drive from here.

Need some VLAT's; Global Super Tanker 747(T944) or one of the Tanker 10 DC10's.

The air drops from T944 are impressive! It can carry almost 20,000 gallons

I just got home from camp. To get there I have to take the main highway heading towards the fire then turn off onto another highway just before where the fire is burning maybe 20 miles further up the highway. There were 3 cl415 water bombers swooping down over the highway to pick up water on one of the lakes close to camp to drop on the fire. Thankfully we have a storm heading this way in the next hour or so that should dump some moisture on the area.

Cal Fire was contracting two planes(Super Scoopers) and basing them at Lake Tahoe. They've been active on some of the northern California wildfires. Have not heard if the contract was updated though.
