Well I was speeding today. Then I saw a cop sitting on the side so I slowed down. I was only going 7 over. Don't think he would have stopped me anyway but still, I slowed down.

Ok, you got me. I was checking the fluids in my beloved truck this morning and lo and behold, the coolant level was down and I needed to add about a quart to top it off. I never should have allowed that and Blackie (my truck) was not very happy with me.

I had a bagel with lots of cream cheese with my morning Joe, so I was in a good mood.

Hope you're sitting down, cuz this indiscretion has a bit of detail.

Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I was in Wal-Mart last night and could not resit buying a Benjamin Genesis .22 cal. air rifle with a 3-9x 40mm scope, that was 50% off it's original $199 price. Only the packaging was a little messed up. Since Mama was helping out our daughter with the new baby, I boldly (cockily?) strutted into the unoccupied house with it and spent the next two hours sighting it in and horsing around in the basement...things SWMBO would never tolerate.

She just got home after being gone since Sunday, and I ain't sayin' shit about my new basement toy...and I don't even feel guilty about it.

Is there something wrong or sinful about my deceptive joy? Should I feel guilty? Should I do penance? Is this transgression actually a sin? If so, is it a mortal sin or venial sin? I'm so confused...

Oh...one small detail I failed to disclose... SWMBO, and the three progeny of our conjugal union, wanted to get me one nice gift for my upcoming 65th birthday. So I told them I wanted a Hatsan Model 95 Vortex pellet rifle with the walnut stock in .177 caliber, and an assortment of four different cans of pellets for it.

(I already have a .25 caliber of that same model Hatsan, and now two Benjamin air rifles in .22 caliber.) That would give me three different calibers to play around with, and to hunt tree rats, chipmunks & starlings with. They approved that request and I ordered it last night AFTER bringing home. It's my opinion that a guy just can't have enough toys to play with, and certainly not enough guns for the impending Zombie Apocalypse.

Help me, Fr. Galvi...help me!

I have read between the lines and Joe firing of live rounds in the basement will in no way help the fact you are firing blanks in the bedroom,it is a common problem for men your age when they see their children producing the goods....guns are not the problem,i encourage you to buy more.

Get upstairs and get creative...it's a sin not to

I confess, I went to the store yesterday and didn't buy any bacon this week. I feel awful about it, so I went to the bakery and bought a dozen donuts. I'm so sorry.

I have a confession...well it is not just me it is my wife that encourages me to do it.

When my Daughters boyfriend comes round on a Saturday he looks uncomfortable and edgy around me, so my wife thinks it is a good idea or him to feel uncomfortable when he walks home,so she encourages me to put water in his shoes....yes we are childish like that

Funny thing is he as not said a thing about leaving with wet shoes

Should i feel ashamed?? should my wife stop encouraging me??

No need to feel ashamed. No need for the wifey to stop encouraging you either, although I have my suspicions you do not need it.

It would really be uncomfortable for him if you have a dog or cat to blame it on. Next time he comes over, see if he has new shoes.

I spent 12 years in school learning English. I prefer English, in full words as it was designed to be used, not this text speak crap. Words I understand, abbreviations and random combinations of letters mean NOTHING to me, nor will they ever.
