Since I retired at the first of the year, this is one of the two debt reduction proposals I fear most. The other is the devaluation of the dollar. This is not uncommon in other debt ridden countries. Devaluation of the dollar by half reduces the real debt by half, but also reduces net worth by half and doubles inflation.
