Anybody have any idea on the ratio and torque capacity of Tucker's transfer cases? Based on videos found and counting teeth looks to be around 1.6:1?
Question originates specifically to those in 98 2000's with 5.9 Cummins.
Wanting to increase horsepower/torque on that unit to pull the coach/trailer we are working on. Goal is an additional 100 horse and torque that comes with it (200 ft/lb ish?) I am running the 6 belt 38" steel grouser tracks and hoping that will help some with belt stretch AND am crossing fingers with the existing Dana 80's.
Transmission is going to be "upgraded" and fumbling with the idea of a married SCS or Sniper Gearbox alternative, at the expense of re engineering a parking and service brake setup.
But if there is an expert present I am curious about the cases in 89 with 360 chrysler as well.
If this has been discussed prior I apologize but was unable to find with a search...
