Default Need some DMC part numbers

Hi, I'm new and yes a girl. I'm currently trying to rebuild a DMC 1450 I bought last year that crapped out after driving 2 miles. Peterson in Logan was nice enough to send me a download of the parts manual but it is very sketchy in places. Right now I am looking to replace motor mounts and the heater core. I've got all the gaskets and seals I need for now. I'm replacing the brake master cylinders. The frame will be heading to the sandblaster very soon. I'm using Nikson's rebuild as my guide. What an adventure! Wish me luck.
Does anybody know part #'s and a source for the motor mounts and heater core? It has the regular 3.3L motor.

I don't directly have the numbers for motor mount or heater control, but I have been having pretty good luck in the late 60's and early 70s in ford products by going to Rock auto.

Find a old school radiator shop near you and make the heater core their problem, around here most of the shops recognize the core and can *get * something that will fit.

Welcome...

Not sure how pictures work out on the forum from my build on the 1450, but refer to my google online album, may be get something useful from there that didnt get to the forum thread here...

I sourced most of my parts from Napa or AutoZone, and the heater core - replaced it as well, but fan and the core were matched to the size off the shelf from Autozone...

Just have to dig through their inventory, its out there...

if link dont work, see if you can google

DMC 1450 Custom Restoration

That might yield a link to my album, I know I have a picture there of the blower motor and core apart before assembly, along w/other paperwork pictures that include part numbers that I was able to find that fitted my resto

Good luck and post pictures...

Thanks everyone for the PMs and advice. This is all new but I'm up for the challenge. I've done a lot of searching through all your old threads and continue to do so. I'll try to get some pictures up soon.

Kier with Chameleon and Tim with Remote Access are great resources if you're here in the West. They both have decades with 1450s and Tim just got some more used parts.

The frame is at the sand blasters and the motor is waiting to be mounted on the stand. I’ve been doing a little blasting on some of the smaller parts in my own little cabinet. Slow process for sure. My goal is to have this thing done before the snow falls this year.

This should be the motor mount.

Frame is back from the sand blasters. Now the fun begins. Pulled off the oil pan and found a crack in the weld between the sump and the oil pan. Also the pickup tube was broken off—Anybody know where to find another one of those?

We have Ford LSG 633 (200 ci.) industrial engines. You might call any nearby implement dealers that have a bone yard. Many 80s hay swathers and other machines used the LSG 633. Foley Engines back east rebuilds them and say they have parts. Nice frame!

Painting these while waiting for the rain to pass. Also found this broken in the oil pan. Anyone know where to find another pickup tube?

Most likely the pick up tube failed while the engine was running. It looks like the brake was above the oil level. I would start the search by first dropping the main bearings and work through the engine for lubrication issues before attaching a new tube and firing.

Here is the drawing for the oil pickup tube.

I am not 100% sure, but I think if you find an original FORD pickup tube then modify it to this set up.

Hope this will help out.
