This was pretty entertaining! Look at all the crap people are buying! :w00t:

With gas prices skyrocketing and 65 payments left on the Escalade, America is looking for ways to cut back. In these desperate times we'll do whatever is necessary, as long as it doesn't involve driving less.
Fortunately there are a number of fuel-saving alternatives that are easy, inexpensive and completely idiotic. Such as ...

Some of those things are just what you said.....crap!

One thing that does work however is the fuel genie. For those of you who haven't heard of it, here's a link to their website.

http://www.thefuelgenie.com/

It is designed to increase gas mileage, add horsepower, and give cleaner emissions for your vehicle. The creators of this device are related to a guy in town here. I have spoke with them several times about their product. According to guys around here that have them installed, they noticed a difference right away as soon as they installed it on their vehicle. I plan on getting one for my truck very soon.

That's an air restriction and will decrease your fuel economy. It's the same BS as the #6 whiz-bang-thingy in the article, only manufactured more slick.

Ok, assuming that one of these whizz-bangers does actually work, how much gas do you have to save before it pays for itself? If the price of fuel should fall (Wishful thinking, I know), the savings decreases along with it. Like a guy, not far from here, who bought a Yukon, traded it after just a few months on a more economical vehicle and lost $20,000 in the trade. At $4.00/gal, that's 5,000 gallons of gas. He could have driven 40,000 miles in his Yukon for that. :hammer:
