I have a old 49 Tucker that I would like to put on a set of original wood skis. Anyone have information on correct length and width. Also any information helpful in constructing them. Thanks for the help.

I made my skis out of steel for my 1949 tuckers,i had old wooden ones that were partially rotten for patterns. Im sure pontoon princess or snowdrifter can get you the factory dimensions. Don

Skis are one inch thick, 9 1/4" wide, 91" tip to tip, 94" length of material. Front nose 2" radius, rear 1 1/8" radius. Hickory is factory choice, don't use kiln dried to steam bend. Skeg it 40" long, made from 1 1/2 angle.

I tried kiln dried hickory and it did not stay bent very well. Hickory does not grow out here. Please pm me if you can supply non kiln dried clear hickory in 1"+ thick, 10" wide by 95" long.
