After posting the thread about a couple doing the deed on top of a freeway overpass and the thread about the woman stealing a cop car I decided that we Arizonian's deserved our own thread. These are tragic and not funny but they sure are WEIRD so here we go:

Police say a man was rescued after being trapped inside a garbage truck for over 10 miles.

Well that poor guy at least got out of it alive and after all he has gone through I sure hope he gets some help.

Even if she wasn't going to prison I don't think this gal will find another boyfriend real soon:

Woman has been indicted on charges including attempted murder for allegedly running over her boyfriend and seriously injuring him in Phoenix.

Lucky for him he also lived through it.
It says that he is HIV positive. That means that he probably gave her AIDS. So maybe she has the right to be a bit angry at the dude?

Hearse carrying coffin stuffed with marijuana near Tombstone, Ariz. (appropriate place don't you think?), was stopped by border patrol . . .

On AOL news:
https://www.aol.com/article/news/20...stuffed-with-67-pounds-of-marijuana/22064099/

A white hearse driving near Tombstone, Ariz., was carrying — not a corpse — but a coffin filled with marijuana, border patrol agents said.

Agents at an immigration checkpoint questioned the driver and became suspicious when his answers about where he was going became inconsistent, according to Customs and Border Patrol officials.

A sniffer dog was called in and the animal picked up a scent, agents said. When the coffin was opened, bags of manure were found inside. Also inside were 67 pounds of pot, with a street value estimated at $33,000, agents said.
And look it even made the news in Hungary.

I saw on the news this evening that a candidate for governor here deliberately got arrested because she wanted the publicity.
I looked online to see if I could find anything about it and couldn't.
I did see a story (I missed) from a few months ago.
It even made the news in England:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4244360/Arizona-governor-candidate-reveals-sex-scandals.html
That candidate decided to just tell that he had been in orgies so it wouldn't be a surprise.
I like what he said here:
He also claims to have 'technically been homeless, and has enjoyed extended periods of couch surfing, living in offices, and other uncommon living arrangements'.

He hasn't, however, faced the depths of homelessness that many on the street experience, 'with whom he sympathizes'.
Oh by the way he is a Democrat.
Seems like they have more fun. :brows:

( VIA FOX 10 Phoenix http://www.fox10phoenix.com/ )
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Authorities say no one was injured after an RV crashed through a backyard fence and ended up in a swimming pool under construction in Fountain Hills.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened on Wednesday near Shea and Fountain Hills Boulevards when an elderly man who was attempting to get his RV out of his backyard, accidentally went through his backyard fence and into a neighbor's swimming pool that is under construction.

I think he also owes his neighbor a new fence
