Lobstermen are tough

A Maine lobsterman wasn't feeling well one day, so his wife said she would go out in the row boat and check the pots. When she hadn't returned by 6 PM he went to the dock to look for her and saw only an empty row boat. He called the rescue squad, told them what happened and asked if they would search. The next morning two somber looking officers came to his front door. He asked if there was any news. One officer said yes, there was, some bad, some good and some really good. Felling apprehensive he asked about the bad news. The officer said, "We found your wife at the bottom of the bay." The man said what could the good news possibly be? The officer replied, "When we pulled her up, there were 50 of the nicest Maine lobsters attached to her clothes and he was entitled to half of them." The man asked incredulously, what would be the really good news. The officer replied, "We are pulling her up again tomorrow."

First time I heard that similar story I couldn't stop laughing.
We lived on the eastern shore of Maryland for a few years, thus, we were also considered chicken neckers
.
Same joke, except a jumper on the key bridge.

Amazing how many blues you can catch with a hunk of chicken and a string.
