The Supreme Court ruled 7 to 2 against a provision for Arizona to require proof of US citizenship in voter registration

But doesn't the law require that you be a citizen to vote?

Apparently you must be a citizen but you don't have to prove it beyond that required by federal law
I think they just require a statement and your SSN
of course the SCJustices don't realize that they also declared it unconstitutional to deny a SSN TO anyone who is not a citizen
