WTB: 1402 Imp Parts: Slave/Master cylinders & Grousers (24 inch)

My current grousers look like the attached photo. Measure 24 inches in length and attach to the dual 8 inch rubber on each side of the wheel. I believe these are the "C" type. Every 5th grouser is more of a 'paddle' for bite in the snow.

I'm interested in any/all types that will fit this "C" type. I would prefer hardened steel as I drive through varied conditions on our way up to the cabin. I'm also looking for the aluminum backings (the 3 holed bar that goes on the other side of the track for the nuts).

I have 53 on each side but am looking for any number...preferably 110 of 'em as stock tracks have 55 grousers I believe?

Thanks in advance.

that is referred to as a d-dent grouser. they have their advantages on harder ground they also wear at the center the plus side no guides to worry about they are also easy to add paddles to for deep snow.

As for brake parts.. Do some searching on here. I found some new ones that were 60s vintage ford van. They needed just a bit of milling on the sides to accommodate the handle travel. I think I bought the slaves from snowcat pat. IN fact I'm sure of it.

Sorry I'm late. I've been out of commission for a while. I had new lifetime bearings installed in my hip on May 5.

For master cylinders try ebay. They fit a 1966 Ford Econoline van. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...6+ford+econoline+van+master+cylinder&_sacat=0

I re-sleeved my slave cylinders myself. You can see how I did it here: http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?t=63147&page=5
Starting at post 89.

Snowcat Pat makes a stainless steel replacement slave cylinder but his website shows he is temporarily out of stock. http://wallace-id.com/foster_parts.html

Good luck.

For the backing plates you can buy 1" wide by 3/16" half oval aluminum bar like the original. These are also anodized.

You can have them cut them down to shippable lengths.

It is easy to cut them to length and make a drill fixture from a grouser or old backing plate.

Like a dummy I didn't know I could just buy the half oval. I machined all 110 of mine from 3/16 X 1" rectangle bar.
