U.S. Voting Machines with Venezuela Ties

All this because a few stupid voters in Palm Beach left hanging chads.

“The federal government is investigating the takeover last year of a leading American manufacturer of electronic voting systems by a small software company that has been linked to the leftist Venezuelan government of President Hugo Chávez.

....... after a municipal primary election in Chicago in March, Sequoia voting machines were blamed for a series of delays and irregularities...... workers had been flown up from Venezuela to help with the vote.

Some problems with the election were later blamed on a software component, which transmits the voting results to a central computer, that was developed in Venezuela.”

Interesting that all of the anti-voting machine kooks have dwelled on Diebold in the past. In most cases I suspect this is because Diebold is owned by a known Republican. However, no one seemed to care about a company that was owned by a foreign company with close ties to a governement that is anti-american.

I'm glad someone picked up on this. It will be interesting to see where it goes.
