the motor is the original 223 ford 6 cylinder, two Eaton 70342 Hydraulic Trans Piston Pumps and 2 Hydrastar MRH 30 ss-1 Hydraulic Drive Motors. The Conversion was done in the late 80's. It sat for years until i heard about it. brought it home to the cat shelter and started getting it ready to drive again. It was a blast to test it out! Will try to get some day lite video.

These photos are a few years old. As you can see it was covered in dirt and dust, but it cleaned up nice. The nice thing about hydrostatic is the parts are available and easy to rebuild yourself.

thats over 20 years of dust

What type of drive is that between the bell housing and pumps? Looks almost like a type of transfer case. Cool rig.

i am not sure what you call it, but it basically allows you to hook two pumps side by side rather than tandem. The engine turns a gear which turns two separate gears. The pumps connects to these gears.

you can buy them for a few different setups. up to 4 I think.just google hydraulic devider or splitter and you should get some answers. they are not cheap though. probably more than the rest of the things put together.

i did a search and couldnt find anything similar. I sure hope they are not more than the pumps and drive motors which are over 2,000 each new.
