Why I'm Voting DEMOCRAT

I'm voting Democrat :myopinion: because I believe that the best strategy in war is defeat. It broadens the mind to learn Japanese, German and Arabic. Talk about multiculturalism!

I'm voting Democrat because I'm mad that George W. Bush hasn't caught Bin Laden. That's because Bin Laden is the only Islamic terrorist in the world.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that if I don't have enough money, the solution is for the government to take more of my money. Who needs money when gas is $4.50 per gallon?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that the ideal family is two homosexual bonobos, a goat and a parrot raising a human baby. :smileywac Love and compassion is all it takes to make a successful family!

I'm voting Democrat because it's my body, and if I want to kill my baby, I'll do it, even if its head is in the birth canal. If I want to cut out my intestines and feed them to the crocodiles, I'll do that too. That's the freedom our forefathers enshrined in the Constitution.

I'm voting Democrat because our enemies on the battlefield deserve comfy hotel rooms, Pay-Per-View, prostitutes and all the benefits of American citizenship. :stroke:

I'm voting Democrat because I believe we need other countries' permission for me to turn down my thermostat.

I'm voting Democrat because I care about the real victims of crime -- criminals.

I'm voting Democrat because the real cure for racism includes preferential policies based on race -- particularly in presidential voting. If you believe that a black candidate ought to be qualified, as well as black, you're worse than Bull Conner.

I'm voting Democrat because everyone deserves crappy healthcare. Sure, you'll have to wait years for that life-saving cancer surgery. But it's first come, first served at the cemetery!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe in minority rights (except in Muslim countries), free speech (with regard to pornography but not conservative talk radio), environmentalism (unless we're talking about Al Gore's house) and diplomacy (but never backed by the threat of military force).

I'm voting Democrat because I like the words "hope" and "change." :bling: Also "kazoo." That's a funny word.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that America's founders were rich, white, greedy xenophobes, and that America's founding principles are hogwash requiring periodic editing from an unelected group of liberal judges.

Most of all, I'm voting Democrat because I like the ideas they have over in France :France: but I don't feel like moving there. I'll threaten to move, but I really won't. After all, I have a good job, healthcare, lower taxes, free speech and a social framework that promotes family structure. And all of it is defended by the most effective fighting force on the planet.

I'm voting democrat because if this article reflects republicans, Republicans obviously twist and distort the truth and have no comprehension of the complexities that are needed to run a country that allows peoples freedoms.

Vin, I see it just the opposite. Today's Democrats think they live in a pristine little world and want to govern accordingly. They show absolutely no comprehension for the complexities that are needed to run a country.

Funny that Doc, only a few weeks ago Bob told me that one of the problems with Democrats was they were not simple enough or words to that effect:mrgreen:

Vin, FWIW there is a video on YouTube that seems to be wildly popular that mocks the Republicans in exactly the same way as illustrated here. Fair is fair. Simply turning the tables. Now if you would actually be influenced to vote in one way or another by some sarcastic post on the internet then I've lost respect in you.

If you were in Chicago you could vote 2 or 3 times :ermm:

In fact they tried to ship over busloads of Chicago residents to Indiana to have them vote for Obama in the primaries (reports from both East Chicago and Whiting Indiana were published in our local paper) but our new voter identification law that requires a photo I.D. caught them and shipped the busses back to Chicago!!!

BTW, I didn't save the YouTube link, but you could probably do a simple search to find it.

Didn't something like that happen in Florida

Yes, but Bush did still carry the state regardless of the "irregularities" influenced by the left.

As I said before I had several how-to letters and emails (while I was a college student during the last presidential election in '04) on how to multi-vote.

so tell us Mr Swift, how would you solve world hunger?

Why would anybody want to do that? Where in the Constitution does it say the United States must do so?

Personally, I couldn't give a hoot about world hunger.

Youre 100% correct.

Republicans have HUGE money invested in their interest just like the Dems. In the past I have fallen for the bullshit of the Repubs.
Screw both of them. Republicans are crap. Dems are too. This thread is another reason why this country is in BIIIIIG trouble. I ask that its not an echo that continues.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! Bob lied because he was being soooo sarcastic... But you have to do that now and then to get a point across! ....Um, which I think you missed....

Last night on the news, the sheep hide fell off the wolf. The Dem's were up on their soapbox making the statement that the Government should take over the oil refineries and Nationalize them so they are owned by the people. Which of course is total bull$hit... The oil companies in America are already owned by Americans, stock holders as a matter of fact and if you have a retirement account, you are probably the A$$ that they want to steal from. Retirement funds buy stocks in a lot of companies to make money for your portfoleo... What they are talking about is Communism, pure and simple, that is what the Dem's finely flashed out on the TV screen yesterday when they really finely told the truth... power to the Government!

I know what I need and what I like. No one is going to make a large difference. Its all :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah::blahblah::blahblah:

If you know what you need and what you line, you are probably a Republican.

If someone tells you what you need and what you like, you are probably a Democrat.

Was it not liberals throughout US history that really achieved freedoms of the community as a whole? If not who was it?

<sigh> 's what I get for being subtle.

A Modest Proposal: For Preventing the Children of Poor People in Ireland from Being a Burden to Their Parents or Country, and for Making Them Beneficial to the Publick, commonly referred to as A Modest Proposal, is a satirical essay written and published by Jonathan Swift in 1729. Swift appears to suggest in his essay that the Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling children born into poverty as food for rich gentlemen and ladies.

It was basically people that didn't like repressive Government... which was pretty much what the Republican mindset is to this day.

Republican's as a "party" didn't get started until just before the Civil War, Lincoln was the first Republican elected. The Democrat's didn't want to end Slavery, that was a Republican thing and that along with other such "Oddities" is why the Civil War was (and yes I know, it wasn't "Just" slavery, but the Republicans were against it, not the Democrats).

The American Republican "mindset" is why the British got their butts kicked out of America in the 1700's, they were a bit too socialist for us way back then... Even though it was a Monarchy.

Was it not liberal thinking that gave the rights to women to be able to vote was it not liberal thinking that freed the slaves, My understanding of your history was the wealthy southerners resisted the abolition of slavery. History is the same every where, the upper end of town hate giving rights to the plebes of society, FACT.
Why I am on my soap box, the odds are you would be down trodden if it was not due to liberals that fought for a fair go for all. Just as an example Unions directly or indirectly set your standard of living. Just think long and hard about this before you reply.

Had it been "Liberals" in our history as a whole, we would still be a part of the Crown... Never got involved in any of the World Wars, and in general, be more like something like China now.

All thoughout history, the Liberals tried not to get into war and did everything they could to apease the enemy... Then it took the Conservitive mindset to win back the losses incured by the Liberals.... Basically they are the low tide of the "ebb and flow" of the tides of history.
