I surprized the wife with tickets to see Elton John and Billy Joel in concert at Portland Or. We will fly up and spend a couple days there . Can anyone suggest "Must see" exhibits or attractions in the area ???

Your wife might like these:

Powell's Books is nice: http://www.powells.com/info/briefhistory.html

If you have a car then you can drive out to Multnomah Falls:

If you go to the Vista House on your way to or from the falls then you can wave at me across the Gorge:

I recommend driving out Highway 14 on the WA side and then going over the "Bridge of the Gods" to OR and then back to Portland on I-84. It is a nice drive and it takes up most of the day if you stop at the nice places:

I would take the drive up the Old Columbia Gorge Highway. This is one of the most beautiful drives in the US. Several of the world highest waterfalls are along here, A trip around Hood is a worthwhile drive. About 130 miles RT if you don't do to Mt. Hood. The waterfall pictured above is along this road.

That would be awful expensive to fly a guy from Minnesota to Oregon.:biggrin:

But hey all them places you picked are great. I have been to most of them myself.
