And I decided to see what the twin Kawasaki STX-15F Jetskis would run on smooth water. The ski I'm on reports pretty well the exact same speed I get checking it with my GPS. The other ski, the one the girls are on, shows a little more on the speedometer than what it really runs. I'd like to show the speed on my GPS and record it, but I'm short a hand or two.

The last time I tried this on my Kawasaki Ultra 250 I almost lost my iPhone at somewhere around 72 or 73 mph when I hit a little chop. It's a bit modified (besides having a factory inter-cooled supercharger) and the twin STX-15's are stock. If you've never piloted a supercharged Jetski, you ought to try it. I'd describe the launch as 'violent'. Anyway, here's the video I made a couple of days ago. You'll have to forgive me for clowning around but, hey, I'm playing dad and trying to make it fun for the kids. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aArxgvn2-tk"]STX-15F speed run[/ame]

It got to the 50's pretty darn fast.

So this is a different jet ski than the one you souped up last year to go 80+, right?

Yup, different one. These two are the 'slow' ones. Literally, the supercharged one will get to 60 in just about half the time as the one in the video.
