The rapid test administered Thursday morning in Cleveland was a requirement before meeting with Trump, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted’s test came back negative; the first lady was not scheduled to meet the president so she was not tested but will be along with others in his circle, said DeWine press secretary Dan Tierney.

DeWine was tested again in Columbus, but it was not a rapid test so the soonest the results would be available is later tonight.

The only other coronavirus test he had taken before the two on Thursday was one he publicly took earlier in the crisis to demonstrate the process.

“I had no symptoms, I had no indicators, no reason to think I had COVID-19,” DeWine said about not getting other tests.
