Saying she was shot twice by the father of her child, a Boiling Springs woman also told Spartanburg County authorities she hit him with a car seat and then pulled herself and the child away from his grasp Wednesday afternoon.

Spartanburg County sheriff's deputies signed warrants charging Reginald Sheftall, 21, with one count each of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and violation of an order of protection. He had not been located as of press time.
Sheftall's last known address is 108 Chase Woods Court, Simpsonville, and he was believed to be traveling in a 2004 silver Nissan Altima with a South Carolina plate number of 6480-DW.
Sheftall is accused of shooting Britney D. Miller, 22, of 230 Outlook Drive, in the left shoulder and back of her neck, according to an incident report. Sheftall is also accused of hitting the victim while she was holding their child in a play seat, causing Miller to fall to the ground and the child to fall from the seat, before leaving the area.
Spartanburg Regional Medical Center did not have information on Miller's condition Wednesday night, but sheriff's office spokesman Tony Ivey said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. No information on the child was available.
Miller was sitting on a curb when deputies responded to Miller's home at Wilson Place Apartments about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday and canvassed the area — across Old Furnace Road from Boiling Springs High School — with K-9 units. Miller was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
