I spent some time recently clicking on You Tube vids of engines. Turns out there are quite a few out there. Odd engines like tanks and aircraft. I thought it would be interesting for those inclined to post up what they think is a link to an awsome/or favorite engine to share some noise!!

Here is one I really like the sound of, especially right in the middle of the track...

Cool! Iron Man I agree!!

Here is one I found that is a surprise. Why who would have thought Ford built a twin over head cam 36 valve V8 in the early 40'S...

For a Sherman tank no less

i hear something like that every day one of our regular freight companys use dc-6 's for main hauls they run the wasp r2800 x 4 i love the sound of them the reason it ccranks over t 20 3 times before starting is to purge oil out of he bottom cylinders before starting if it were to hydro lock while cranking it wouldnt bend rodds but if it were to fire and hit a locked cylinder it would bend rodds

dds,

Those old International start on gas run on diesel are neat. Did you know they have a wedge of steel that is moved into the top of the combustion chamber to shield the spark plug and to take up volume in the combustion chamber, raising the compression to the point that enough heat is built to fire the diesel fuel. Complicated, but neat how they work. This was used for quite a few years.
