What is sad is those trees will never be regrown in our lifetime they also fed the great American expansion westward. They also don't make any mention of how many folks were killed in that era doing a job with a high mortality rate.

Bill, I agree with your sentiment here . However , it's not Our lifetime ,or even Our grand kids lifetimes . It's thousands of years to replace one of those giants . Too bad that they hadn't come up with pressure treated SYP . would have saved a lot of that old growth and a few lives to boot !
