Well I finally recieved the last peice of hardware I needed to go and visit the Boggie-Man! The carb finally arrived for my Thiokol 1202b! Unfortunately it was a diffrent carb but had the linkage reworked to match what was on before. Also the bill was ALOT more than what I was told it would be. $449! :glare: I dont think so was my response. So about $80 bucks less I was out of there for good! Never again! ANYWAY now the good news. I installed the new carb and she fired off right off the bat! :w00t2: She is loaded up on my freshly rewired trailer and ready to roll at 5am! OK ok so 6 am......

Heres the pics.

Very nice looking machine. From outward appearance it doesn't look like Boggie would need to do much work on it, if that's why you're headed his way.:bitterCol

Above are pictures of the cars (only a handful that I took pictures of) that spun out. The road was a ice skating rink. I had to chain up. I was delayed a little over an hour do to an accident. When I got in to my hotel room turned on the weather channel and they were talking about how this area from Souix Falls had a high number of accidents due to icey conditions! I can tell you it was bad. Took me 11 hours to go 216 miles!

well let see if Snowops truck starts -29 below without the wind -45 with the wind. If the 1202B starts I will be surprised. my F350 started not plugged in.......

If it doens't start, you'll both have excellent opportunities for taking pictures (especially of the new snowcat). :cool2: Nice pictures of the "old" one traversing icy roads. Goes to show what snowcat enthusiasts will go through to complete their mission.:bitterCol

It was -37 here this morning. The Tundra started without plugging it in. Warmed up to a balmy -10!

Now the question of the day is will snowops sleep in the back of the snowcat somewhere along the road tonight?:brows: well we got his 1202B in shop and started tearing it down allready not sure how far we will take it. may convert it to the new style tracks new seats , new dash panel, rework the front damage, go through the rear diff. thought about streching it to a full cab . but do not think thats what people are looking for? 5-6 man cabs are good with rear storage.

Just wondering if you had to chain up the trailer too?

Well last night I braved the cold inside my new snowcat. Not sure what time it was but I woke up to a very cold noggen! I Pulled the sleeping bag back over my head and dreamed of snowy trails. I didnt find a place to fill my propaigne tanks so I spent it in a non heated cab. Still it kept the wind off me and is insulated. The wind rocked the snowcat and trailer pretty good for about an hour. I woke up to -24 f....... I had to talk my self out of the warm "Wiggys" bag. Man what a great sleeping bag. I wasnt cold at all!...except when I uncovered my head. Its rated for -60. Tonight I am sitting in a small cabin some where in Wyoming off of I 90. I 90 has not been plowed and its pure ice underneith! I pulled off at a rest stop and chained up to safley get into this little town. I am still 623 miles from my destination for tomorrow. I hope the plows will be out EARLY! Will go out and get a picture of my truck and trailer/snowcat! I was so dammed mad I couldnt get to Casper tonight. Now im cooling down as I warm up in the little cabin. Wish they would plow! OK be right back. quick pic then to bed. I am leaving at 5 am. Also maan its down right balmy here...... Its 0 degrees.

Ah well, at least you got to try out your new sleeping arrangements.

look, if it gets too bad... just throw the truck on the trailer and use your new 'working toy'. ;) You got a hitch on the back of that swanky cat I'm sure...
BTW, from road to top of trailered cabin, how tall is that??? Looks like nose-bleed territory.

Or, if the weather is too bad (windchill this morning peaked at -54 in our area), I've got a nice warm shop for your machines. You could even leave them there permanently (balmy southern Minnesota).:yum:
