Bob, have you ever found a way to tension the chain on your snow blower? Mine has developed a lot of play and actually slaps the sheet metal when in use.

Dave, sorry no. I've never had to tension it. Been using it A LOT THIS SEASON but have literally had zero issues with it since I got it a year(?) or two(?) before you got yours.

Is there a removable link that can be popped out to shorten the chain?

I haven't had any problems either (other than it's taste for shear bolts), but I want to keep it that way.

Depending on what kind of a chain out is a chainbreaker and master link should do it.

Do you know what size chain out is?

See if there's a place to mount an idler sprocket on the slack side of the chain.

I've only had to replace that one time. 2 seasons ago.

Damn garden hose under the snow, don't know how that got there :hammer:
