Rupert Murdoch has called on Australians not to let their anger over the Iraq war destroy close ties between Australia war”

I don’t believe that his comments are really an accurate reflection of Australian views. For sure many of us don’t like our involvement in Iraq but it has nothing to do with the US in my view. Many Australians have a dislike for our own right wing Government. Prime minister John Howard seems to be brain washed by the views of GWB on many subjects. Iraq war is only one example of John Howard following GWB right winged doctrine.

I don’t know what has motivated Rupert Murdoch to make these comments but I don’t believe there is any wide spread dislike of the USA in Australia, only a dislike of GWB. Mr. Murdoch is a scheming manipulative character that I am suspicious there is some deeper motivation for his comments.

I for one would not like to see any distancing of the USA, we have similar values, to each other and in this uncertain world friends are needed for stable trade and world stability.
