Chrysler 318 rebuild for Tucker 1342

I am going to rebuild the Chrysler industrial 318 in my 85 Tucker 1342B. A few guys have told me to change the Cam to put the power band around 3000 rpm. That is about where I am when grooming. Any thoughts? I was going to have it redone all stock, but now not sure. I sent an e-mail to Tucker in Oregon and waiting on them to get back to me. I know everyone here has an opinion! LOL

No expert but I would thing changing the cam will move the power band to 3k ish rpm but you may lose other rpm performance which may not be worth the gains. Like low rpm

Do you have lack of power or performance now?
