72' IMP Track adjustment?

XJHIGHLANDER

I just took my IMP out this past weekend (finally) for a test run and have a few questions about the tracks.

#1- The Ride seemed more harsh then I imagined. The ride was about the same from Hard Packed dirt to soft snow. Is there something I need to look for to smooth this ride out? Track adjustment of some sort?

#2- Occasionally I would get a bang/clunk which seemed to sound like a grouser contacting the body somewhere...but after inspection I can't see any signs of rubbing or contact.

Thanks!

Xjhighlander..Is the clunk when turning? I got a loud clunk on my Spryte when hard turning.. After tightening my tracks a bit i barely get any noise. IMP looks real nice. I like the color. Wont lose that in a blizard

I have an imp w a little different grouser and I occasionally get a little contact with my extended muffler.

Generally when the tracks are twisting up over something. I believe it sounds worse than it is.

I have a bit of body giggle /noise on hard pack , when I get in fluff it is so neat to hear nothing but the motor and an occasional loose wheel guide.

Your D-dent sprockets are larger than my style maybe they are just hitting the Ground?

the Turbinator thread has some insight to springs and ride heigth.
