ASV Track Truck

Hey guys

If anybody could give me some insite on a 91 ASV Track Truck 2800 it would be great.

The problem our snowmobile is having is the machine seams to have good power until it's warm ,then won't pull a hill of ANY size.

It's hydrotat drive. Are we looking a a weak hydralic pump or could there be another problem?

You may want to check over at Koz's Grooming Talk forums. That discussion forum is populated by groomers and there there have been several threads about the ASV track trucks in the past. Koz is a member here, but really his membership is somewhat different than our membership and I think they can probably help you out with more experienced advice than most of our members.

The other thing to do would be to contact our member BOGGIE. He has experience with ASV. So between BOGGIE and the guys at Koz's Grooming Talk forums you should be able to find your answer.

The only way to know what is going on for sure is to check pressures with a
gage. it could be that you have wear in the pumps. it could be that your oil is
wrong, it could be that your charge pump is the problem that feeds the oil to the hydrostatic pump. it could be weak. have you changed the filter?

but without checking charge pressure and system pressure it is hard to pinpoint. Where are you located?

We are picking up a filter for it one day this week and looking to see if there is a suction screen . I'm trying to find pump presure nunbers.
I'm leaning toward a warn pump because the warmer it gets the weaker it gets.
I'm located in Chenango county NY.
Hope to contact Mabie brothers tomorrow they are a local ASV dealer.
