I would like to change out the points to CDI.
maybe someone has done this, and can tell me what to buy.
it has the Ford 1.6 indus. engine.

mine was hard on coils after switching over. some say to use their coil. it would be good insurance to have an extra one in your tool box if your running the stock one.

I talked to Pertronix they said I had to use a 40,000 high out put coil
And I did I'm on my third winter no problems

electronic and point type coils are different if you change to an electronic ignition you must change the coils. I think it is because the electronic coils have an internal resister
