I've only read about six pages so far, but VERY interesting reading.

My sister lived in eastern Iowa for a number of years and I would plan my visits to coincide with the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion. They had a ton of old and antique farm machinery, including some steam traction engines. I had a blast!
