Someone should remind Alyssa that the white hoods were worn by Democrats for over 100 years. Many of them were U.S. congressmen and Senators. One was even appointed to the SCOTUS. Nominated by FDR and approved by a Democratic senate. ,,;

It wasn't until 1956 when a White supreme commander of the Allies, as POTUS, pushed it through Congress, that the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments were, after 100 years on the books, supported and enforced.
All over the objections of Democrats.
Under both Clinton and Obama Blacks did not see much improvement in incomes and opportunities. As for Obama, what a waste of an opportunity he made by stirring rancor instead of bringing us together. Racial peace and equality?,,,,; in 2005 we were almost there. Enough generations had passed and the young had learned better. Then some fool suggested we "must have a conversation about race."
Then came the Cambridge Professor, a stupid beer conference photo opt, and the thuggery of Michael Brown
The subjection of minorities, particularly blacks, is still there. The Democrats are just more clever and doing it.

A shame......criminals have more rights and protections than citizens.......citizens pay for but aren't eligible for benefits. Politicians never suffer the consequences of their actions or inactions. Their salary is protected, so is their health care and retirement.......how's THAT possible when they are in such sympathy with their constituents?
I think the true "dreamers" are those citizens that say after a tornado, " Ain't it grand Mac, the wind quit blowing" disregarding the damage and destruction that lays all around them.......
HOW did we get here? Apathy, neglect, and greed......
Red or blue, both are on it for their own personal gain....
One fights the other, yet neither accept responsibility for damage done, yet want to claim credit for whatever goes right.....
