Hey guys;
I bought a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe last month and now I'm scouting out places to ride. I'm in SE Ohio and have the Wayne National Forest trails just 45 mins away. However I have found out they only allow vehicles up to 50 inches wide. :pat: My Honda is 62 inches wide. So, I'm planning to try out the following trails that are a 2 hour to 5 hour drive from my home base.

Hatfield and McCoy Trails in WV

Rush Off Road Trails in KY

Ride Royal Blue in TN

The TN trail allows alcohol. :thumbup:
I'm looking for a little adventure and scenic nature views. I do not plan to take my UTV swiming. If the water is above the floorboards I won't cross. Nor am I looking for challenging rock climbs like some UTV folks do. Each place labels the trails so you have a good idea how challenging your ride will be. Since I have not been on any trails other than the ones on my property I'll be starting out on beginner and then move to intermediate. I doubt I ever do the most challenging, I prefer not to bust up myself or my buggy.

If any of you want to join me on these trails or want company on trails you plan to ride give me a shout. If timing works out maybe we can hook up.

This place is in W. PA but I have never been there. I have heard good reviews.

It's almost 900 acres of trails and you can take your vehicle into underground mines, 250' underground.

There is an admission charge. It says UTV's allowed. I didn't see anything on width restrictions.

Thanks Brian. That place sounds interesting. I bet the underground rides would remind me of Iron Mountain which is probably not that far away from this place. I searched the site but one thing I didn't find was the city / map showing the location in PA. Weird. I looked for over 5 mins. Did I miss it?

I'll let you know if we make a trip north to those trails. Maybe you could join us with your RTV.

From their website ......................

We have room for even the largest of the OHV machines, the side by side. Some reaching over 70" in width,

you may not be able to ride at other ATV parks in the East. But you're in luck, at Mines and Meadows we do not have a maximum width requirement, so if you want to come in with a huge, custom wide stance, 1000cc machine, go for it!
