I got a couple of stitches in Dawson Creek once when my jack bit me while changing a tire going though Canada decades ago... Cost me about $40.00... I still don't like the Socialized Medicine that they are pushing here.

Wasn't attacking anyone, just stating the facts here in Alaska. IN the smaller Coastal Towns there is little to no medical places to go. Skagway has a road to Whitehorse, at that time other than Haines, the only other town in SE Alaska with road access. It was used for mining trucks to haul ore to Canada...

If it was before the road was built, it took a thirty min. ferry ride around to Haines, and then you could drive to Whitehorse, either way, not a big deal...

It was a couple hour drive to Whitehorse from there.

Now that's funny! I'm a marxist because I don't think an insurance company should be able to dump someone who has responsibly paid premiums for years just because they decide to use that insurance.
