Default Pictures of your favorite .22 rifles

We all have one or more of these. Thought it would be fun to see what others here play with. I find 22 rifles an excellent way to keep my shooting skills sharp. And to teach my daughteers how to shoot. Here is a picture of one of my favorites. CZ 452 Burris 6X HBR scope

One rifle both sides....for Melensdad a CZ to boot!

Lets see yours!

Regards, Kirk

My favorite is one I don't own. A fully stocked CZ 22lr. My second favorite is a fully stocked Ruger 10/22. Don't own one of those either.

I'd have to agree with melonhead. The ruger 10/22 is a nice little gun. I've shot them before but don't own one. My current selection of guns doesn't include a .22 but I plan on changing that.

Melensdad,
Here is my neighbors CZ full stock 17 HMR. It shots very well and is his personal favorite.

And one of my 22 WMR 452Lux,

The CZ wood gods have smiled on me. I am fortunate to have the ones I have. It pays to shop around for a while.

Yup that is a pretty gun.

I do have a few 22lr in the safe. One is an AR15, the other two are 10/22s, but just the garden variety, not the fancy jobs.

Default Re: Pictures of your favorite .22 rifles

I just bought one of these (Savage Mark II FV):

I'm really happy with it. I've been doing a lot of practicing in my backyard now with a little bullet trap and it's nice to get some trigger time more often.

I have a 10/22 and it is fun but it isn't very accurate. I'm going to put a heavy barrel on it and new stock and redo the trigger. More for something to do than to have any great expectations. The nicest thing about the 10/22 is the availability of high cap mags and the speed loader. I love just dumping a bunch of ammo into the loader and filling the magazine in a hurry.

Two of my favorites.

~1900 Stevens Little Scout single shot. Gun show find, my son's 1st 22.

1950's Mossberg 142 bolt action. Has peep's, and also an original scope. My Dad's; thing has had thousands upon thousands of rounds thru it since he got it new when he was a kid. Accurate, fun to shoot!

I had a remington 597 semi auto before. What a POS that thing was. Unreliable. Kept jamming all the time. Never even went through a full brick of amo with it before it nearly took an unfortunate flight into the lake but I came to my sense and sold it. Bought the thing brand new. Had it for one hunting season then sold it before I took an axe aboard of it.

When I used to moose hunt, I'd bring a .22 for birds since they don't make much noise and startle the moose. I'd also bring my trusty winchester model 2200 12 guage as a back up. More often than not, I'd come across a bird on the road, haul out the remington, have it jam, come running back to the truck for my 12 guage.

Isn't that the truth... I have a couple of them and need to send to the bottom of the lake or similar.
