Perhaps not surprisingly this machine for sale again from...wait for it... one of the ksl.com snowcat flippers. Yup, "Jeff", the guy who describes just about everything he sells as a MONSTER (always in capital letters) has it listed. And of course with a very hefty markup on the price.

(Is it just me, or do others have doubts about just about everything he says?)

From $35k to $60k. Sounds really reasonable. If he sells it for that I want the buyers phone number because I have all sorts of stuff I will sell at double value.

I am not a Tucker guy but just looking at them for many years on the internet $35,000 seemed like a screaming deal and $60,000 seems more about what I would expect to see one of that year and condition go for. What do you all think, regardless of the monster flipper's involvement?

(edit) I went back and looked again and it had 8000+ hours which is a little high on the Tucker chassis so maybe $60,000 is inflated.

When I first saw the machine listed here by the OP, I too thought it was a great price. But I've never owned a cab forward Tucker with Terra tracks, and the hours on that machine are more than ten times the hours on three of the four Tuckers I've owned (five times the hours on the other machine).

I'm not a fan of "MONSTER Jeff" and I'll try and honor your question by not commenting on his sales practices.

Here's some data points for you. Track, Inc. is the Tucker dealer in the midwest. On their website they list their used machines and the asking prices.

They have a 2004 Tucker 2000 for sale for $51K, if bought as-is, where-is. Comparing the differences theirs is three model years newer. They have basically the same engine and transmission configuration. The Track, Inc. Tucker has an 8' six-way U-blade, but it's a two door cab. I don't know Tucker's pricing, but I would think that blade option is significantly more money than getting two extra doors. But here's the kicker...the machine being offered by "Monster Jeff" has two and a half times more hours (3,200 vs 8,345).

So based on that I'd say "MONSTER Jeff's" price is too high by a fair bit.

That's 7000 hours more than on my 83, 1344 with the four passenger cab :wow:
