I doubt the Eagle actually got that Fox - it looks too big. But I do think the Eagle whupped the fox's butt!

I'll bet you a beer that the eagle did in fact carry that fox away. :tiphat:

Golden eagles are notorious for doing it. Some former eastern USSR countries (and others in the region) actually train eagles to do just that so they can bring meat back for their family. It's a lot easier than hunting on foot to get meat.

I just found the series of pictures. That fox did get away.

Here's a video of an eagle carrying a fox.

Do a google search on something like Golden Eagle for hunting. They're trained to kill things as large as wolves but they're normally trained for fox or smaller.

It is my understanding that the Bald eagles out in Montana area are picking up lambs and carry them away.
