New Holland 757B Backhoe Cylinder

Just posting this here so the next internet warrior doesn't need to jump thru all of the hoops I had to trying to find this info. Hopefully they can find it with a quick search.

New Holland dipstick cylinder("Lift & Crowd") on the 757B backhoe attachment for the 1600 series (others?) is part number ARP091. This part has been discontinued with no replacement. The rod ("Ram Piston") is also discontinued. So, if your loader bucket happens to slip (while you are planting the backhoe to set your outriggers better) and the sudden weight shift strips the nut off the ram and proceeds to bend it, you are screwed.

The only option at that point is to have a hydraulic shop build one for you.

OR,

After much digging I found the hoe was originally built by ARPS manufacturing (bought out by Amerequip Co.). They also built the John Deere JD7B & JD8B backhoes at the same time. Other than different stamping on the side plates of the boom & the color, they are the same as the 757B. So, if you need a replacement for a bent cylinder rod John Deere part number PT8233 is the equivalent of New Holland ARP904560. The JD part is still available at this time, but will certainly disappear like the NH part with time.
