Why the hell didn't we let these comapanies go into a bankruptcy so they could reorganize and shed some of their debts, instead of bailing them out and keeping their debts at an unsustainable level while screwing shareholders?

So we lose $35B on [strike]GENERAL[/strike] Government Motors and we literally gave away ownership of Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep to the Italian company Fiat. What are we thinking?

Now, Mel. Is there any cost to great to save the union, the union dues and the union voter? Where's your patriotism?

The UAW is too stupid to realize that 70% of China Motor's cars (formally known as GM) are now made overseas. I would also like to add to this discussion that as a 40+ year union member (IBEW) I have had more than enough of the UAW's bullshit and refused to buy one of their cars last year. We opted for a Made In America (including the engine) Hyundai Sonata. Made without the UAW's "help".

Somehow, :ermm: I just don't think this is what Old Abe meant when he said, "We must save the Union!" :w00t2:
