Looking for some input on a random steering issue on 1968 442A. At random the wheel becomes stiff/stuck turning either way.

It is very intermittent. Thinking something with the valving/orifices inside?

Doesn't seem to be rpm related because it happens at all different speeds and rpm ranges.

You can buy a Kit to rebuild these modules. It easy to do. A lot of the older tractors have the same system. If I remember right there is a rubber sleeve liner that gets wear spots in it.
