She might be a great political commentator, but she is an even better historian and comic. I liked everything that she had to say until the end, when she gently put forth that the country was overwhelmingly supportive of banning abortion. Personally, I believe that abortion should not be an issue that is decided by the government, but by the individual woman involved. I also know that lots of men believe abortion to be wrong, but until you have the ability to bear children, you will never really know or understand the full ramification of pregnancy. I believe that the country is evenly divided on the question, and it will be decided by the ideology of the next appointed Supreme Court Justice. If it is outlawed, then abortions will revert back to the way that they were performed prior to it becoming legal. It is a issue that is very much like Prohibition. Lots of vocal people got prohibition pushed through as a Constitutional Amendment, but in the end, it was repealed, because the overwhelming numbers of people really didn't believe in it, but the originally were not strong enough to stand up and be counted.
