Like most of today's news media they inflated, no pun intended, a rupture into an explosion. Can't tell for sure but most of those tanks have a hinged lid and, yes, there was an explosion in the tank shearing the lid's clamp bolts. Whether from ignition of methane or overpressure from an air pump used to empty or fill the tank, who knows. Had it been only 1/2 full the results would have been much worse. Upon reading the headline the reader envisions a violent explosion.
