Sucks to get old.

I’ve got to get more tests for my kidney stone issue because there are some indicators of complications. Found that out yesterday. I get an UltraSound next week.

An hour later, at a different specialist, my wife found out she has a spine issues, possibly a ruptured disk at the L5. She goes for an MRI. She has been having intense pain for the past 45 days. Has been going to PT and taking lots of drugs to allow for modest movement.

We were planning to backpack this September in Italy from Florence to Assisi to Rome, ending up at St Peter’s in the Vatican.

Now hoping to do that in the spring??? Maybe???

Health permitting.

Sounds like you guys need to get someone to finish the house flip for you and take it easy until you recover.

Time to put the brakes on that MDF project, hire a contractor to come in and trim the house out. It will cut into the profits by a few grand, but IMHO that is a small price to pay for your health.

The sister-in-law is doing the heavy lifting.

But they bought a couple 1/2" 4'-by-8' sheets, had them ripped in half, so they are only the weight of a 1/2 sheet.

As for the house flip project, my contractors are doing 95% of all the work. In fact the lovely Mrs_Bob has done zero labor except knocking a couple holes in walls on the first day, mostly for fun. She is in charge of PAINTING and trim work. She understands her limitations.

As for the hiking trip, that is what I am worried about.

We planned a north to south hiking trip that would end at the Vatican. Its a tough trip in the summer so we looked at early fall for cooler weather. Depending upon the exact route, roughly 280-300 miles. But lots of vertical hiking. She is not able to walk a mile on flat ground, let alone while carrying all her belongings in a backpack while climbing a steep hill.

At this point we are HOPING for a spring trip after my high school Fencing season is over and before the hot weather hits Italy. It might be wet, but hiiking in rain is better than hiking in oppressively hot weather.
