I posted quite a while ago about an activity tracker that I purchased a while back to keep track of my walking, exercize, etc. It was called a FITBIT and while it worked great, but it died.
I've missed my little wrist band ever since but had heard some great things about other, newer products, and then there was the upcoming Apple Watch to consider. THREAD HERE => http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?t=64644
So I finally made my decision and bought a WITHINGS POP watch/fitness tracker. It has not been delivered yet, just ordered it about an hour ago.

It does everything my FitBit did, plus it replaces my wristwatch, plus I don't have to re-charge it every 5 to 7 days. The FitBit had a USB re-charging system and it required the FitBit to be recharged weekly, took a couple hours to recharge.
The Withings POP tracks exactly the same activities that the FitBit tracked. Just like the FitBit it syncs via Blutooth to an iPhone/iPad. But it has a wristwatch built into it that automatically changes time zones when the iPhone changes time. And it uses a replaceable battery that lasts about 8 months so it doesn't need the constant charging.
FitBit now will also Sync to a digital scale. The Withings POP also does that (actually did it first).
The Withings POP also will Sync to a digital blood pressure cuff. FitBit doesn't do that.
Now there are some more advanced versions of the FitBit that do some other fancy stuff that th Withings doesn't do. I really like the FitBit ChargeHR, but it has a SHORTER battery lifespan and requires MORE FREQUENT charging, and I always found charging to be required at inconvenient times. Withings also has a digital fitness tracker that does extra stuff too. But I was happy with the tracking from the regular FitBit so I didn't see any real benefit to going up to a fancier -- and bulkier FitBit, nor did I like the ugly digital Withings.
There there was the Apple Watch option. First, its pretty ugly. Second, it needs to be rechared every 18 hours. WTF!?! Now I'll admit the Apple Watch can do some really amazing things, but 18 hours and then recharge? NO. And ugly, did I mention ugly? Maybe in the future when they get a better battery I might consider the Apple Watch, but at $400 for a basic version, and with short batterly life, just no thank you.
$149. Free Shipping. I bought the black one. Should arrive in 4 to 5 days.
